Rosemary and Garlic Veal chops with Grilled Mushrooms

This is a keeper. The rosemary was wonderful with the veal. I may add a bit more salt next time. The mushrooms, onions and tomatoes were also very popular. We all agreed that I should try grilling the tomato for just a minute next time just to add that little bit of smokey flavor. Some debate about whether the veggies would be better served warm. The recipe calls for room temp. That may be a function of time of year. If I made it again, I would serve warm with a little carrot and potato added to the grilled mix. But this recipe was mighty fine as is.

Our son, Jack is staying with us for a couple of days. I think he approved!

  1. I VERY much approved. It was tasty and delicious! The meat was served with a Chianti that went well with the meal.

One thing my dad mentioned last night: remember that veal is technically beef even though it looks like pork. It's no problem if it is pink in the middle!

The veggies were phenomenal. I'm completely on the side of leaving them room temperature and not grilling the tomatoes. Yum yum yum!
